Anyone that knows me....

Anyone that really knows me... would know that I am harp crazy. I do love playing the harp ... I have been studying clinical music, which trains for the use of music for patients who are sick and/dying. I have worked under hospice and at rest homes, private homes, and as well as in hospitals. It is very gratifying to me to help in some small measure...those that are in pain, and are suffering, to help ease fear and bring comfort. My business card says in part what I do "Therapeutic sounds of the harp to comfort, soothe & assist families with illness and pain".
When I first began playing the harp, I had the thought come to me that I remembered that in the old testement, David played his harp for king Saul. He would soothe him with his music. I kept thinking about it, and then researched the idea, finding that there were only a few programs throughout the country that teach such a course of study. I pursued it and was accepted into the program long distance. Many times the benefit comes to the families who are grieving or anxious....It will soften them, bringing them peace, relaxing them. I feel like the lord put this special gift in my path at this time of my life not just for my benefit, but for the service of others......
